Phil Chester
Phil was one of the founding partners of the practice having worked with Paul Falconer and other staff for several years before setting up Falconer Chester in 1997.
He brought great architectural talent and infectious enthusiasm to the office, which duly flourished with such commissions as the Queen Square development and the redevelopment of the former Speke airport site.
Tragically Phil was involved in a fatal accident in January 2001 whilst taking part in one of his passions, microlight flying. He left a wife, Lorraine, and two children and his loss was felt strongly by friends, colleagues and clients alike.
Falconer Chester Hall Architects have grown significantly in subsequent years but the legacy left by Phil in terms of architectural philosophy and integrity will always be central to the life of the practice.
